So, I did a vague facsimile of acting

December 31, 2009

I've jusr done some acting, Jonny Hogarth asked me to and I said yes. 'Twas but a short student film but I was greatly nervous, I felt out of my element.

So, I decided not to learn the lines and hope that he would let me not be in it.

It didn't work, he just made me adlib and honestly, I think it went quite well. TY McFly was also in it. TY is a wrestler and I really like him, he has a face that makes him always look depressed, although to be honest he may actually always be depressed, it is not easy to tell. He also has a penis that is legitimately 11" long...surely he can't be depressed. He once auditioned to be Harry Potter, although, as you probably know, he didn't get the part.

I played a gangster called Wes, although I can't help but feel miscast. They wanted him to be called Frank but I don't think I could play 'Frank'. I suggested Macbeth, but they thought I was just trying to build my part. I also suggested Jedward as a name, but they thought I was being ironic. I was actually being post-post ironic, the idiots. I enjoyed it on a very deep level; a level you wouldn't understand.

Having not read the script, I didn't realise that my 3 scenes were set 7 years apart, so I didn't have a change of clothes, I tried to change my hair between scenes and I took my jacket off, but I think they were glaring errors. I blame Jonny for it, I should have been the director.

So, I did an awards show...

December 31, 2009

No time restraints at the next show, I had agreed to host the annual Independent Wrestling Federation's annual awards show and, at short notice, the event was without the planned DJ, Karaoke and buffet, so I had two hours to fill

I also had the problem of toning down my act as children were present, I did make the children stand up while everyone booed them for spoiling the show though...I also managed to slip through a Chris Benoit joke too.

I filled the two hours as best I could, in...

So, I did my first show...

December 31, 2009

My problem has never been a lack of confidence. My problems have included an abundance of confidence coupled with an incredible amount of laziness, this means that while I am fairly sure that I'm great at everything, I am unlikely to ever actually achieve anything. I will die knowing that, professionally, my life has been a waste. I am also disappointed with my penis, but that is another story (Actually, Freud may argue that it is the same story, but Freud is now recognised as a delusional ...

So, I did another gig

December 31, 2009

Next was Long Live Comedy, also in Newcastle, where for some reason I felt a little less comfortable, perhaps because the good response at my first gig meant that I was not as fastidious at practicing my still new routine, another mistake to learn from.

The microphone broke almost immediately at the start of my set, but some of the resulting adlibs got good responses which was pleasing and it was interesting that the bigger laughs didn't always come in the same places as at the Laughing ...
