Thought I'd use this bit of internet to talk about my wrestling career, such as it was. I don't miss it, stand-up is much more fun and much less painful but I do reminisce about it from time to time.
I wrestled between 2000 and 2009 and I didn't do it that well. I had a good mind for it but not the athleticism really and I hated going to the gym, so I rarely bothered. It took me a number of years before I realised that I could make people laugh or hate me far better than I could impress them with my slick moves (Not that my patented move, cleverly named 'Lee Kyle's Patented Move' wasn't impressive, especially if you're easily impressed.) and I improved immediately.
The advice I give new wrestlers when asked (Never) is to travel, I've done this as a stand up and have improved by doing it. I never did this as a wrestler because when I had the opportunities I didn't feel ready and then, when I did feel ready I had my own company to run and didn't really want to by then anyway.
I rarely regret wrestling, the only times I ever do is when I struggle to remember words which is something that started happening after I was hospitalised with a concussion back in 2003. I don't always feel as sharp as I did before hand sometimes.
This is probably my favourite video of me wrestling. It's against my friend Joey Wright at Northumbria University, with Billy Morrison and Lexx in his corner - two people I also have fond memories of. It was at Northumbria University with a big crowd and there was a lot of pressure on us to open a show that we'd all worked very hard to promote and we did a great job.
The video is just highlights so doesn't get across the chemistry we had really but, looking back, it might be my favourite match.
Here is an early picture, perhaps from 2000 or maybe early 2001 and yes, I do look like a dick. Enjoy it you twat. Why I though no shoes, PVC trousers and a velvet shirt was a good luck I'm not sure but I think I pulled it off (I don't think that.).

This picture was taken at the IWFs 8th Anniversary Show, a year before I hung up the boots. For me, my favourite time wrestling was between 2006 and 2008, this picture is special to me because it was taken at the end of that peak period. It was a big show for us and a sell-out and it was after this show I started to think about leaving. Really strong roster this one, a lot of talent who I wish had pushed themselves harder.
See if you can spot me, I'm the one who looks like me.

This is my favourite picture, it's after my last match (Where I was only too pleased to lose to TY McFly). I'm in the ring with Keir, my son. He seems to be giving the black panther salute, which is ironic because he's a massive racist. He isn't a massive racist, that was one of my brilliant jokes.
Look at how cool Keir's hair is and how fat I'd got.
